This tool provides a structure to help you plan an HR investigation. The tool should be used in conjunction with the 'How to design and manage an HR investigation' guide and highlights key resources that you may wish to draw on at different stages of the process.
The Terms of Reference (TOR) for an investigation provides a specification for exactly what the investigating manager needs to do and how the investigation should be conducted. It includes key information about the roles of the different people involved and the timescales to work to. This template provides some standard wording around the conduct of investigations and the terms of reference for an investigation. The template can be used in conjunction with the 'How to design and manage an HR investigation' guide.
